So is there anything we don’t know about the GG finale?
Hello Captain Obvious! Why do they even bother, seriously.
The new Gossip Girl spoilers and the fact that the writers want to pull us back in
So Dan get’s slapped by the two Woman in his life who have majorly wronged him. Yeah, that makes sense.
“I know I left you for Chuck. But -Listen, just because I didn’t even bother to break-up with you in person; It’s love Dan. You just need to get over the fact that I loved Chuck and never loved you.” *Slap*
“Blair was going to leave you anyway. Face it Dan. She never loved you, and by me manipulating you to have sex with me just lessened the blow. You enjoyed it, and I’m sure you’d be more than happy to see that video footage.” *Slap*

“Gossip Girl”: Just because Prince Louis is out of the picture doesn’t mean Blair can avoid Frenchmen forever. Producers are looking for a fluent French actor (with an accent, obviously) to play the recurring role of Jean-Pierre in Season 6. He’s a “handsome international businessman” with some ties to her royal ex.
So 10 or 11 episodes and they are wasting it on this B.S.?
Just gonna try and shield myself from this stuff and wait until Monday.
I want to explode from all the half-truths spun out the promos mixing with complete B.S. Next time I see a post saying it has the ‘legit’ or ‘real’ spoilers I’m going to ignore it - completely!
What if - mind blown - Blair says it first? I mean she kind of already did by default right? When she tells Chuck she’s not “in love with him” and then goes to Dan and tells him that her “heart belongs to someone else [Dan],” is she not by default saying she’s in love with Dan? And I could imagine Dan holding back because he’s not sure if he can trust his heart to her in the wake of what happens with Chuck, GG and the diary blasts.
If the far more likely happens and Dan does say the words first I think her hesitation won’t have anything to do with Chuck but rather her own insecurities and trust issues creeping in. But it won’t take her long to snap into reality and realize the gravity and truth in Dan’s words. Whether she’ll get her chance to say them back before it’s too late is the question.
For me the problem is why is saying the words even an issue. Exhibit Blair saying “Dan loves me for me.” She realizes, and is assured, in that moment that Dan’s in love with her. And again, come back to her words between Chuck and Dan in 5.17. Isn’t it already self-implied, if not for a whole host of other obvious reasons?
I stood back and accepted all the other contrivances we’ve been thrown our way since they officially became a couple, but this is just taking it too far. It’s unnecessary considering everything they’ve gone through - the emotional affair and turning to being each other’s best friends. It may be too soon to override all issues between them because moving into things without thinking out the logistics of dealing with past relationships, ex’s, is bound to impact. I’m one hundred percent for seeming them come upon realistic, believable, challenges for them to overcome in the same adult-way they’re approaching the contrived, sometimes trivial, bullshit. I just don’t understand why the matter of saying “I love you” has to be enveloped in angst and needless complication. Isn’t that suppose to be Chair’s story?

Is it possible though that the kiss is respectively a Gossip Girl moment and not a Dan and Blair moment? I’m getting this hunch. Plus, with all the kisses and sex - would another be that memorable or big of a moment it warrants mentioning as a spoiler? But maybe I’m wrong. Maybe it’s something grand and public - some sort of statement. I can’t wait to find out.
Ok, so … It’s the end of the series. You’re down to the wire. You have no choice, the network has started the final countdown on the Upper East Side. Which is it gonna be at the end game: DAIR or CHAIR?
It’s not the end of the series yet, so I’m not going to answer that one! Nice try, though! (I can admit, however, that Blair’s decision will be very clear by the end of this season).
In the preview for your next episode, we saw Dan and Blair finding loooove in an elevator. How much more of that can we expect to see in the coming episodes?
Well, it won’t be in an elevator, but these last run of episodes definitely turn up the heat. Especially the finale…
What …. now I’m just Natefused.
Sigh, could of it been too much to ask that their break-up not directly hinge on Dan insecurities over Chuck? I’m not pessimistic about Dair, just frustrated over the cliches and easy plot-points. My guess is Blair herself will get frustrated trying to convince Dan she loves him, and that Chuck…
Well, crap, this makes a lot of sense too. Although, even if it were to go down this way, I think all signs still point to Blair reuniting with Dan in season six.
I think it’s probable she will reunite with Dan or the show will end how the show came in, Serena and Blair. Though if Schwartz and Savage have a prevailing influence then I think anything can happen. We’ll just have to wait and see.
TVLINE | Dan and Blair go public with their romance in “Salon of the Dead” on April 16. What obstacles do they face beyond that?
The obstacles are always going to be that Dan knows just how big of a presence Chuck has been in Blair’s life. And that’s something Blair works very hard to put Dan at ease about, but I think the harder she works at putting Dan at ease about that the more uneasy he feels. And, obviously, their relationship is hard for everybody around them because Serena was and maybe still is in love with Dan. And Chuck has his issues that he’s dealing with. And whenever Chuck is dealing with issues, Blair often wants to help.TVLINE | Is Louis no longer a factor?
He is no longer a factor.TVLINE | So Georgina takes care of that situation?
The situation will be taken care of. I’m not sure it’s ultimately Georgina who takes care of it.TVLINE | Is it fair to say the season finale will revolve around Blair making a choice between Dan and Chuck.
It doesn’t revolve around that. That triangle definitely comes to the end point. But the episode revolves around Serena quite heavily. It’s a very huge turning point for Serena — probably the biggest one she’s had since Season 1.
I’m uncertain just what will come of Dorota giving birth in the next episode but it would nice, in juxtaposition to all the comedy, and unnecessary fretting over their sex lives, they could come together over this moment, and maybe, just maybe we could see a hint of pain and reflection in Blair over the loss of her child. I know this show may rather brush her pregnancy away from any existing and forming plot, but it would be a wonderful moment and I’d love to see it.
The prudes among TVLine’s readership may want to avert their eyes for today’s Blind Item. Wait? What? There are none? Fine, then. Read on, because said item of the seeing-impaired variety involves a couple that a lot of fans want to see get it on, actually getting it on.
Your clues are as follows:
* The duo in question is on a popular network series.
* Their nookie will not be of the “dream sequence” sort — it’s for real, yo.
* Their boosters will be pleased.
* Well, most of their boosters will be pleased. A few will probably grumble that it’s too soon, and the show is skipping too many beats in the pair’s unrequited love story for their coming together to be truly satisfying. (Mind you, a few people were always going to grumble, weren’t they?)
* The hook-up will take place during May sweeps. Okay, technically, that isn’t a clue. But it does seem germane, wouldn’t you say? [x]
im pretty sure its dair. especially with the ‘dream sequence’ mention.
and UNREQUITED love.
its sooo dair guys. let the waffleing begin!
If they are talking about Dair, I am so thrilled that the sex won’t be coming in the next episode. That would of been too soon. She’s in the infancy of coming to terms with her feelings. Plus, I think Dan will be a good guy, and except her choice to either wait for their sake or wait because of the dowry. What’s better is if the sex comes all the way in May it’s an indication that may be overcoming their hurtles that was teased to be coming. So excited that this story appears to be for the long term, or as long term as it could be for Gossip Girl.
I just read it on twitter. He’ll pay but don’t say a word to let her free to choose what she wants to do. When Blair finds out that Dan knew about it and didn’t say anything, Dair is going to be over.

What do you think?
But didn’t that girl who claimed she was handed a script on set say something similar already, but also noted that Dan and Blair were just friends. Obviously that isn’t true based on what we are seeing, so something seems off here. And wouldn’t she be mad a Chuck too when she specifically told him she didn’t want him to pay off the dowry? It feels like they are just spinning from the same yarn.
